Misty Edwards is a worship leader at IHOP in Kansas City, MO. Typically I try to stay away from writing about IHOP artists because I’m from an IHOP and when people ask me for recommendations for good worship music I normally gear them towards stuff like Misty Edwards, Cory Asberry, Audra Lynn or Katie Bennett (now Katie Ried), but I’d figure I’d throw Misty in the mix of reviews ;-)
Misty’s style is different from any other worship leader out there. She has a very powerful voice and is a very skilled and anointed worship leader. A majority of her music is written while she’s sitting before the Lord in the prayer room or while she’s leading a worship set. She sings the revelation that the Lord is giving her and sings a lot of scripture.
